Skills Bootcamp: Welding and Fabrication

6 weeks to a skilled trade

Ready to spark a new career in a high-demand trade? Our Skills Bootcamp in Welding & Fabrication is an intensive, hands-on training programme designed to take you from beginner to job-ready in just 6 weeks. Whether you're new to welding or want to sharpen your existing skills, this course gives you practical experience, recognised qualifications, and real-world preparation for a career in the welding and fabrication industry.

With a flexible, part-time structure - training just 3 days per week - you’ll gain the technical know-how, manual skills, and confidence to pursue work in sectors like engineering, construction, or manufacturing. You’ll also receive CV support and interview guidance to help you land your next opportunity.

Why should I do this course?

If you’re looking for a practical, high-demand trade with strong career prospects, welding and fabrication is a smart choice—and this course is the perfect way to get started. Whether you're starting fresh or looking to formalise and advance your skills, this bootcamp offers a clear, structured path to becoming a qualified, job-ready welder.

Here’s what makes it worth your time:

  • Develop Industry-Relevant Skills
You'll gain hands-on experience with TIG welding - the most in-demand process across industries like aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, and construction. You’ll learn everything from basic techniques to advanced welding positions under real-world conditions.
  • Become a Coded Welder
One of the biggest advantages of this bootcamp is the opportunity to complete a weld coding test. This qualification proves your welding competence to employers and can open doors to higher-paying roles and specialist positions. Coded welders are in high demand and often work on critical infrastructure and high-spec projects.
  • Fast-Track Your Career
In just six weeks, you’ll move from learning the basics to earning a recognised welding qualification. Plus, you’ll get tailored career support, including CV writing help and job search advice, to help you step confidently into employment or further training.
  • Learn by Doing
This isn’t a classroom-based course - it’s a hands-on, workshop-focused programme designed to build your confidence, precision, and technique in a practical setting. You’ll be using real tools, working on real projects, and preparing for real job opportunities.
  • Get Funded Training
This bootcamp is fully funded, with only a small 10% employer contribution if you're already in work and looking to upskill. That means you can gain a high-quality trade qualification at little to no personal cost.

If you’re ready to work with your hands, build something real, and take the first step toward a skilled and stable career - this course is for you.
